Amethia Sellers is a Master of Social Work graduate student completing her advanced clinical field placement at Motor City Center of Hope. She currently works as a Family Independence Specialist with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, where she assists families in crisis, manages complex caseloads, and connects clients to essential resources and state programs.

Amethia brings strong skills in communication, crisis response, trauma-informed engagement, and culturally responsive practice. In her role at DHHS, she has trained new staff, provided program guidance, and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to support the needs of vulnerable populations.

She is committed to advancing her clinical skills, strengthening community-based services, and supporting children and families throughout Detroit. Amethia is expected to graduate with her MSW in May 2026.
