The people behind the mission.
A decade of serving Detroit. Built by people who live here, lead here, and believe mental health care should be accessible to everyone.
Cynthia Finnegan
Chief Executive Officer
LMSW Clinical and Macro, Michigan State University
20+ years in the field. No sugarcoating, no corporate veneer β just real clinical leadership. Cynthia founded Motor City Center for Hope on a simple conviction: quality mental health care shouldn't depend on your insurance card. She's trained extensively in depression, anxiety, and trauma, and still maintains an active caseload because she believes leaders should never get too far from the work.
Kevin F. Fowler Sr.
Chief Financial Officer
BBA, Wayne State University
Detroit native. Wayne State graduate. I oversee the financial, technological, and operational infrastructure that keeps Motor City Center for Hope running, so our clinicians can focus entirely on client care. My job is making sure nothing gets between our community and the quality mental health services they deserve.
Darthanian "Dart" Nichols
Chief Operating Officer
LLMSW, Walden University
A community builder at the core. Dart brings hands-on clinical experience β addiction, recovery, couples, and group work β to the operational side of MCCH. His deep understanding of both clients and clinicians makes him the bridge between the care we deliver and the community we serve. He leads with one principle: if you know, you can grow.
Tanika Nichols
Lead Administrator
Certified Medical Assistant, UMA
The person who actually keeps the lights on. Tanika brings years of administrative experience across security, hospitality, and property management to MCCH, where she ensures daily operations run seamlessly. If you've called our office and felt welcomed, that's her. If something got handled before you knew it was a problem, also her.
