Privacy Policy & SMS Terms
Motor City Center for Hope
Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 30, 2026
Motor City Center for Hope ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website motorcityhope.org and an SMS appointment reminder program. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website and messaging program, and how we handle it.
Information We Collect
We collect very limited information:
- Contact information you give us. If you email or call us, we receive the information you choose to provide.
- Mobile information for appointment reminders. If you opt in to text reminders (for example, through your patient portal or during intake), we collect your mobile phone number and your consent.
- Basic technical information. Our website host may automatically log standard technical data such as IP address and browser type, and may use cookies to operate the site.
We do not sell your personal information.
How We Use Information
We use this information only to respond to your inquiries, send appointment reminders you have requested, and operate and secure our website.
SMS / Text Messaging Program
We offer appointment reminder text messages to patients who opt in.
No sharing for marketing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with subcontractors who provide support services to us — for example, customer service or the messaging platform that delivers texts on our behalf — solely to operate the program.
Opt-in data. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the Text Message services.
You can stop reminders at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP. See our SMS Terms of Service for full program terms.
How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only with subcontractors who provide support services to us (such as our messaging platform), solely to deliver the services described here, or where required by law.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect.
Children
This website is not directed at children for the purpose of online data collection. Clinical services for minors are governed by our clinical intake process and HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, not this policy.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its effective date.
